Spirit Of Love 2011 Highlights

In 2011, we celebrated "the Incomparable Laura Branigan", and with special video showings and comments from attendees and those with us in spirit, continued to carry Laura's legacy forward.
This year, we continued celebrating the lastest release, Shine On: The Ultimate Collection, the groundbreaking CD+DVD project from WEA/Gallo Records and Other Half Entertainment. Among the multitude of activities over the weekend, were a viewing of the music video DVD, our Friday evening beach ceremony, and our Saturday evening candlelight ceremony, and a very special "fan forum" with Tommy Bayiokos and Kathy Golik, during which the various attendees spoke candidly about their experiences with Laura.
Our Sunday outing this year took us for the first time to Sag Harbor, and between dodging a few raindrops (and being temporarily disappointed that the rain drenched our plans for a harbor boat tour), took in a fantastic lunch at Page at 63 Main, a stop in Water Mill at Hampton Coffee Company (quickly becoming a "staple" of our Sunday outings"), and another stop at Duck Walk Vineyards in Southampton, then on to East Quogue (with a drive by Laura's home), and finishing up at Westhampton Beach.

Our program this year included a special note from singer/songwriter Michael Bolton, as well as a special annual message from Tommy Bayiokos, Laura's
percussionist and special friend, as well as thoughts from Kathy and Vince, and the schedule of activities
that took place during this year's event.
