What are your thoughts on Laura's Touch album?

Touch is my favorite CD by Laura. Up to this point I thought it was the most consistent CD by Laura. The Power of Love, Shattered Glass and Cry Wolf should have all been bigger hits than what they ended up being. Over Love, Touch and Whatever I Do could have been hits as well if radio and whoever was it control (I have never understood why Laura was not bigger than what she was or at least as big as when she released her first three CD's. Who was making the decisions and the mistakes!!!) had been better and more supportive.

I feel the same way, since I bought it about 2 months ago, Touch has become my favorite album (I don't own Branigan2 or Hold Me yet)! I take it with me in my car a lot, when going to work etc. My favorite song right now is Shadow of love, but initially Angel's Calling, Shattered Glass ,Statue in the rain and of course Cry Wolf
all jumped out at me. Then there is Spirit of Love with the mind blowing note Laura holds forever...... Over Love gets honorable mention. The Power of Love is in a league all it's own, and I have trouble listening to it sometimes for personal reasons.
All in all a great album, 2 thumbs way up!

I absolutely LOVE the album "Touch". It always goes with me in my car as it is the perfect driving music. In fact, last summer I went on a little road trip up north (true story) and needed to rent a car for a day while mine was in the shop for maintenance. By some good fortune (Laura must have been smiling on me that day  ) I was offered a 2008 Mustang convertible (seriously). The radio inside was called the "SHAKER 300" (boy did it live up to its name) and the first thing I did after I put the top down was put "Touch" in, select "Angels Calling" and cranked it up (except at the stop light when I turned it down, smiled at the nice officer, made a correct left turn  ). With great tunes like those, it's easy to let your mind wander and forget your going 200 kilometers (125 miles) per hour on the freeway. 200 CLICKS?!?!?! HO-LEEEE SCREEEEEEECH!!!!!! That will always be my best story with that album.

P.S. This is my first post. Print it, frame it, trade it to your friends. Glad to be on LBOnline. Catch you later

P.P.S. The car had a GREEEAT subwoofer too :D Mmmmmm..... BASSSSSSS

Touch? Simply the best!!! I could do without Name Game and am not crazy about Touch (not that I'd have minded getting my hands on Laura  though her husband and my wife might feel otherwise  ) My favorite album far and away.

Hey, welcome Bassman! Another YouTube recruit! The Brigade now has an official bass man. Lessee, we know have two Cannucks, a Texas redneck, a Yankee (Pete  ) and a Cajestic, whatever he or her is  . Quite a cast of characters! I guess we are quite a diverse group, as are the members of this forum!

Don't be a stranger. Let's get this board cookin'!

Like I say Touch rocks, I really like Shadow of Love.
I have been doing 200 klics (125mph) in my old Corrola, but it was on a slight downgrade, 185 on the flat, not bad for a little 1.6 liter. Unfortunately, the enforcement here will take your car away for a week, and slap a HUGE ticket on you for such events now (if they catch you!) :(
Cry Wolf is also a great ballad, I play it a lot.
If I was stranded on a desert island with a solar powered CD player, and only 1 of Laura's album CD's, I would probably choose Touch.
I have to admit that the Platinum collection would also be a good choice, because it has 18 songs on it.
