So you are saying ANY intruders are Supper for those Barkless Dobbies that can't be persuaded with a T-Bone.

Thanks for the useful Intel there. As I said, I WILL find Hold Me somewhere! If not, I will get an extensive voice transplant, and sing a new one myself!!!! :o  :laughing-rofl: OK, OK, so that is impossible, so I guess I would go power shopping on E-bay or something. Maybe I can build that Time Machine and go back and buy a truck load of them. Thats actually a pretty good idea, I just have to get that Flux inhibitor on the transmorgifyer to fire correctly..........

I'm sure that flex capactior will fit nicely in your '73 Charger B777. Hey that would be cool to see, you in your Charger drag racing against Michael J. Fox in his Delorian. Whoever breaks the time barrier first wins  Just be sure to swing around the early 90's and pick up an original Hold Me CD (Atlantic issued) for your ol' buddy Bassman  Better yet, take me with you and Laura concert tickets are on me.... :banana-dance:

Hey Low C, if I get that Time Machine to work, I will bring Laura back with me so we can all hear Hold Me first hand :banana-dance:
My guess though, is that it isn't going to happen, as I haven't located a Mr. Fusion portable fusion generator that I can power the Machine with to get it to work
I will keep hunting for one, you Never know, what you can find in Pawn shops these days!(You know, like a Hold Me CD) :laughing-rofl:

Hmmmmm..... I'd rather go back to the 80's when music, hairstyles and clothing were the best. :banana-dance: :banana-guitar: :banana-dance: Besides, it would give me a chance to create a time capsule full of Laura's records, cassettes and other stuff which would be in mint condition. Ah the 80's, when BlueTooth was something you went to the dentist for and blackberry was something you ate with cream and sugar.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
It must be your :occasion-birthday: .
Haha, nice bargain!
Instead of paying the outrageous prices that Hold Me CDs are going for on Ebay, I just bought the record version, PLUS a record player and still saved at least half the price of the CD, haha.
Eventually I managed to find a good deal for a CD version, but I'm still careful, because if broke it, I'd have to wait a while to get another, haha.
Nice job hoppy. :occasion-balloons:

In my opinion it was a very good album, but very underrated and so hard to find on CD, because of that i've bought a vinyl record - very easy to find, even a near mint example !!! It sounds great. But now to the songs:

"Hold Me"- 6/5 : this is my very favourite song of the album. With a little better promotion i'd be a great hit of the 80's. So uncommon great beat and baseline with the magical 80's E-Piano... Honey on my ears :D It remembers me like Laura would sing here about herself :) Don't know why ;)

"Maybe Tonight" - 5/5 : a great song, that stays in your minde after 1 hearing.

"Foolish Lullaby" - 5/5 : a nice ballad, but sometimes hard to listen to it
"Spanish Eddie"- 5/5: it was really a hit, but as i sad my favourite here was no.1.

"Forever Young"- 5/5: covering somebody is a hard work, but here I think that it was a very nice work. I love her LIVE performance of this song in 88 (Chile) as she sang it with the public in studio. Laura was there just gorgeous, really an angel :) IMO didn't score much in Europe, because everybody new the Alphavilles version, but Laura's one was definitly better.

"When I'm with You"- 4/5: also a good song.

"I Found Someone"- 6/5: the classic which made Cher famous, but i don't like her screaming voice there. It's the thing that is different to Laura - with her power in the voice she didn't had to scream.. I think recording and publishing this version of Laura's LIVE performancne would be a great hit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8kKhZTq ... bv9Q9WZNOJ

"Sanctuary"- 5/5: I trully like the refrain of this song. A really good one.

"Tenderness"- 5/5: great song for dancing, very simple melody, very catchy.

"When the Heat Hits the Streets"- 5/5: last but one of the favourites ;) Really nice beat and melody.
