Yes, that is a very good question, what were some of Laura's specialty dishes that she enjoyed making?
From what I have heard she was quite the chef!

I"ve read on this board a cookie receipt, which Kathy kindly re-wrote from Laura's receipts. I'm going to try it out :D Maybe there would be a possibility that Kathy would write down some others :-D BTW what happened to that cooking book that Laura was going to release? Is there any chance that it would be published (although I know it was unfinished)?

Fan de Laura here is one, that Kathy kindly wrote down (very early post)

===============================================
Little Tart Cookies

**** (with four handwritten stars next to the title)

CREAM:

1/2 Cup Butter

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Egg Yolk

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

SIFT AND STIR IN:

1 Cup Flour

1/4 teaspoon Salt

Directions:

Form dough into balls the size of walnuts. (Optional: dip into slightly beaten egg white and roll in 1 cup chopped walnuts.) Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove and make small indents with the back of a spoon on top of each. Put dab of favorite jam in dents. Return to oven and bake 6 to 8 minutes longer. Remove from cookie sheet at once. Buttery, sweet, gooey, and wonderful!

=========================================================

Going to make them this weekend with my kids :D

Finally I made it and I managed to bake these tart cookies :-) My daughter helped me and it took us about 40 minutes to get them ready :-D I must stay, that these were on of the best tart cookies I have ever eaten :-D

One remark, they are so delicious, that next time I'll have to double again the receipt again to get 24 cookies :-D If You dare to try them You won't regret :-D Oh yes, Laura knew how to make people happy :-D :banana-dance:
