Hi Przemek,

That video segment from Food Network is great! So you tried "Laura's Delight"... I'm sure it was good, as it's a great dish. Cooking was certainly a passion of Laura's.

Here is a recipe for you, taken from Laura's own collection -

Little Tart Cookies

**** (with four handwritten stars next to the title)

CREAM:

1/2 Cup Butter

1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Egg Yolk

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

SIFT AND STIR IN:

1 Cup Flour

1/4 teaspoon Salt

Directions:

Form dough into balls the size of walnuts. (Optional: dip into slightly beaten egg white and roll in 1 cup chopped walnuts.) Place 1 inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove and make small indents with the back of a spoon on top of each. Put dab of favorite jam in dents. Return to oven and bake 6 to 8 minutes longer. Remove from cookie sheet at once. Buttery, sweet, gooey, and wonderful!

Laura added, "makes about a dozen - I DOUBLE the recipe"______________________________

Steve,i see that you love Polish "Kitchen":) specially for you specialite de la maison, recipe for "cytrynowka"(its hard to translate to english, maybe lemon drink):

- 0,5 l rum
- 0,5 l vodka (of course Polish  )
- 0,5 l spirit (stronger= better, i hope that you have spirit in US)
- 0,5 l honey
- 0,5 l lemon juice( i squeeze it myself,its better)

you mix it together, transfuse to the bottels and wait 2 weeks, then its ready.its strong but verry good.when i'm sick i trink 2-3 shorts drinks before sleep and it really helps.

take care,

Przemek
