Here's one..... Let's say that you were at a Laura Branigan concert and she decided to pick you out of the audience to come up on stage with her and sing a duet to one of her songs and you got to choose the song. Which one would it be and why?

Only she stills my heart
She's my inspiration
She's my northern star
I don't count my possession
All I call mine I will give her completely
To the end of all time

I'll start off. It would either be Mujer Contra Mujer or Sin Habler. I love listening to Laura sing in Spanish and I'm coming up with a nice sounding harmony for Mujer Contra Mujer. The harmonies for Sin Habler are also beautiful. Duetting on a love song with Laura, it would be a "Once In A Lifetime Dream Come True". She is after all my :angelic-little:

"The Sweet Hello the Sad Goodbye" :music-listening:
Singing that one for the Lemons, it seemed that our voices blended well, plus it isn't an extremely hard song with a lot of high notes etc. The Power of Love is a real Beast, I actually gave it a go the other night, now I understand why it put Laura on her butt in the studio. I started to get light headed, and my head felt like it was going to pop :o so I will be sticking with easier songs.
I would however sing any song I could with Laura, so long as I had a dead microphone!!! :laughing-rofl:

I'd either sing Never in a million years as it is one of my favorites, a song with so much emotion. Or it would be Spanish Eddie, simply coz i love the tune of the song. :banana-guitar:

For me, maybe "Gloria", and we could have taken turns singing some of the lines, etc.

It would be a bit awkward though because she would be going "Joining me on stage, Laura!" :laughing-rofl:

Well, I'd probably have to go with Never in a Million Years as well. It's one of my favorites, probably sums up the way many of us feel about Laura, and it reminds me of my first unrequited love many years ago (are you reading this Clairissa?) Plus it's at the low end of her range and I might stand some chance of singing it without making an utter fool of my self...but probably not.

It likely wouldn't matter anyway. If she DID pick me I'd probably faint like a 14 year old girl at a 1969 Elvis concert! I'd wake up an hour later in the first aid tent and Laura would be on a plane back to New York! ARRRRGGGG! Dammit, sounds like you just gave me material for a brand new nightmare!

That's an easy one! I would SO do either "I Wish We Could Be Alone" or "Close Enough." Those are two songs that she dueted with anyway, to a degree, and I always dreamed of singing those with her.
It's sad, and funny, because she commented that she would have always liked to do a duet with Barry White, but that she would never get to.
That's now how I feel about her. We could have really rocked on.

Just refreshing the topic :-) I must serious stay, that I don't know if I'd be able to say a word...
But I would definitely choose "The power of love" and "How Am I supposed to live without You" / "Solitaire"

I know these are not the easiest songs but I can imagine, that singing these songs by the side of such a wonderful women would give me the strength not to cause damage to the ears of the listeners :banana-dance: but seriously I'd love to sing them with Laura :D or just arrange for her on the piano :romance-heartsthree:
