Just to say "hello" to all of you! I'm Tony and I've been a huge Laura fan since her very first hit (Gloria) became a huge success in my country in the early 80's. Long live Laura!

Hey, Kathy and Vince and all the gang!

Thanks for the warm welcoming. Laura Branigan was a very popular singer in Brazil in the 80's. However, you were not able to find much news about her on our music magazines. It's weird, I know. So if you wanted to read something really more interesting and more clarifying on her career as a singer/actress or something related to her life, Family etc you should buy imported magazines. I remember I was crazy about getting a big poster of hers. It's was just a dream though. Our magazines didn't use to publish many pictures with her. Her albums "Laura Branigan" and "Over My Heart" would remain unreleased here until the CD fever really infected all of us. So our record shops would start to import lots of rare and new stuff of several singers and bands. Laura cd's would then begin to be sold everywhere. That's when I was able to buy all of her available discography. This meanwhile, her songs would not ever be kept from playing on the radios and her vídeos would dominate the TV's for a long time as well. That's it. Have a nice week!

Nice to know Laura was popular down south, perhaps she has a larger following there than here in the north! :greetings-wavingyellow:
