Howdy Rob,
Sorry to hear you are presently searching for work. Things here slowed down a few months ago, and we have been working 3 day weeks. It gives more time for play, but sure hurts the paycheck! I wish you all the best in finding work! There is no question in my mind that the economy is hurting, the government can say what they want.

Yea, I did have some fun playing around with a keyboard while I was sick, as I got pretty bored when I watched the last episode of "Alias" with Jennifer Garner on DVD, it is funny, I used to always watch Rockford Files also, with her father in it.
That flu is a strange one, didn't bother my stomach at all, seemed to be mainly in my chest, and a fever and chill, and I slept like 15 hours a day! I was pretty much stuck in the house for 4 days. It seems to take a long time to get over, as 2 weeks later, I am still sleepy more than I should be.
I think I will give Karaoke a try, as playing my own music is a big stretch for me! The problem I foresee is that hardly any of Laura's songs are availible, and I am not into fancy computer programs that delete the singing. That would seem like a harsh thing to do to Laura's songs anyways!
Well, I better run, so catch you later. If you are ever on YouTube, send me a message at "BraniFan777" I check in there pretty much everyday. :greetings-wavingyellow:

Hi Rob, :text-welcomewave: to the forum. I know I'm a little late, but I'm only able to get on here once a week. It's always nice to see newcomers to the forum. I can relate completely to your feelings about Laura. I too only re-discovered Laura in late 2007 and was hit hard when I found out that she was no longer with us. Actually, I found out by accident when I was watching a Silent Partners video on youtube and it said "memorial" next to it. Then I read the comments and was floored. I'm grateful to Kathy and Vince who keep her legacy going strong and give Laura's fans a place to meet and connect. Sorry to hear that you're in between jobs. I wish you all the best with your search.

With her strength by my side

Only she stills my heart
She's my inspiration
She's my northern star
I don't count my possession
All I call mine I will give her completely
To the end of all time

I am not an angel
I am just a man

Hey there and thanks for the greeting! :D

I've been away for a while and still job hunting. I'm afraid it's been more than disappointing at this stage of life. It's the wrong time of year to lose one's job, let alone the economy how it is. But I'm holding on and hoping for a light at the end of this tunnel. Hope everyone here has had a wonderful start to the New Year, as in HAPPY 2010 EVERYONE! :banana-guitar:

I'll try and come back more often, you guys are always great company on this board and I love reading all of the Laura stories and happenings. Here's to a great 2010 and beyond! CHEERS everyone! :happy-sunny:

Hang in there Rob!!! Sometimes stuff like this is a real test, but just when you think there is no hope, it happens. Something will come along. And that light at the end of the tunnel, it's not always a train.
Good luck buddy and please keep us posted.

Keep your spirits up Rob. Things always have a way of working out for the best. There have been times when I felt like giving up completely in a lot of things, jobs included. In the case of work, I changed professions and now I couldn't work for a nicer company. I know what you mean about the economy, I'm always nervous about losing my job because clients are feeling the pinch of the economy. Something good will happen soon, just hang in there.

Well I can say I'm finally EMPLOYED and have internet once again! But alas I know I'll not be able to take part in the celebration of Laura's music and all of the great memories she's given us. Hopefully next year I can afford and plan to be there. Hope everyone here is doing great and that 2010 is shaping up to be a good year for all of you.

It's going to take a bit of work on my part to get things back on track here, but it will come back around that's for certain. Appreciate all of the words of encouragement some of you have given me that was very kind of you. Well I best get back to work here, my lunch time is over. I just had to stop by and say hello and check in with everyone!
